IT’S NOT ABOUT OVERWORKING YOURSELF OR RUNNING YOURSELF TO THE GROUND.IT’S ABOUT KNOWING WHAT YOU’RE WORTH AND GOING FOR IT.

OK is NOT enough isn’t about perfection – it’s about continuous progress and levelling up.

OK is NOT enough is about raising our standards, refining our discipline and reinforcing our dedication to producing better results – no matter what your own vision may be.

OK is NOT enough is about never settling for average.

Somewhere in my mid-20’s, I realised that I’d been settling for “OK” results. For the most part, I’d been choosing what was easy, and I was – at best – showing up as average. I had no idea where I was heading. There was no plan and no vision.

 

At 24, I was working as a trolley boy. I was selling drinks and sandwiches from my trolley to office workers in a bank, and it was easy. It was also a great vantage point to start a shift in my standards. My customers were around my age, but unlike me, they were confident, well-dressed, and making a great salary. And then one day something just clicked. I was embarrassed and angry with myself for settling for easy. I made a choice there and then: I no longer wanted to be average. OK was NOT enough. Being mediocre? Not an option for me – not anymore.

 

So I don’t have a tragic story. I just decided one day that OK was NOT enough, and I kept going. I never looked back.

 

With my standards raised, I worked hard and invested in myself to become someone I could be proud of. I read dozens of books and attended seminars on personal development. Simultaneously, I completed my degree in Psychology, worked my way up to a managerial position in my full-time employment and completing coaching certification courses. I built a new network and an inspiring, success-driven environment. And I was mentored by the kind of coach I myself wanted to be. I turned my life around and designed it so that I can enjoy life while doing what I love: helping others to do the same.

 

Today I work with ambitious entrepreneurs and professionals, taking them through my unique 3-step process designed to help them get extraordinary results.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

  • I have an MBA from New York University but would never recommend entrepreneurs get an MBA.
  • At age 5, I got to meet Nelson Mandela in Brixton, London due to a poem I wrote (and subsequently lost).
  • Coming from a state school we received no assistance or strategy about how to apply to Oxford. As a result my friend and I applied to the same university, same college and exact same programme, therefore ending up competing for 1 of the 8 total spaces. Thankfully (!) we both made it in.
  • My first proper business was the first private Free-To-Air (think Channel 4) in Vietnam. I was young and dumb enough to not even think of it as a massive endeavour. We went from 2 to 250 team members in a year and got on-air in 9 months.
  • When I studied at Oxford I went to the grand total of 6 lectures over 3 years and spent most of my time lounging around on lawns reading unrelated books. Good times. I’m a better student now it’s self-directed!
  • I don’t own a TV or read the newspapers, preferring books and talking to experts to get my “fix” of world events. Otherwise, I practice deliberate ignorance.
  • I grew up in Brixton, London. I used to tell people this and they’d say “ooh, it’s a bit dicey there” whereas now they say “ohh, what a cool place!”
  • No broken bones and no fillings. Milk power!
  • I’ve spent years trying to read “high literature” until I realized life is too short and it’s fine to read sci-fi, fantasy and horror books for fun.
  • I’ve lived in for extended periods Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Guatemala, New York, California and Texas.
  • I only buy coats in charity shops because I have the bad (good?) habit of continuously giving them away to homeless people after I’ve had a couple of beers.

COACHING PROGRAMS

The first step is to book the initial free consultation where we will discuss your situation and what coaching support you need. The consultation is often commented on as ‘mind opening’. If we both feel you’d get a great value from working together, I’ll decide what coaching program will be the best for you.

 

I don’t hard sell. On the contrary, if I don’t see that you’d get several times’ return on your investment, I won’t agree to coach you.

 

PROGRAMS: My coaching programmes range from 3 to 12 months. We’ll have regular, typically fortnightly sessions that are either face-to-face or via video/phone calls. During the time we work together, I’m in your life available for support in between the sessions.

 

SHIFT: Is a 1-on-1 one-day intensive full of coaching, from 10am to 6pm. This is ideal for re-planning and re-structuring your life, or resolving a complex life situation. It’s an intense, deep, and life-changing process.
